Support Bell School – Volunteer!
Bell School and the PTO run many events and activities throughout the year and we really need the support of more parent volunteers. As the year gets underway, there will be many small and larger tasks we’ll be looking for help with. You will find listings of upcoming opportunities together with specific information on what’s required on this page – so be sure to keep checking it out.
We thank you for your support and helping Bell School students!
Halloween Event: The PTO is looking for volunteers to join a committee to plan a fun Halloween themed event for the students of Bell School. This event would occur after school and be family-focused. If interested in joining the Halloween Committee, please contact Dina Moniz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Magic Hat: Volunteer at the Magic Hat and earn much needed money for our cultural enrichment programs – which includes visits and presentations the students enjoy throughout the year plus the lessons and activities they enjoy in the Organic Garden! Each hour you donate is worth $50+ of funding. For more information about this great community asset, go here. Ready to help? You can sign-up during our designated weeks, or stop in any time during open hours Tuesday through Friday! The Magic Hat is always looking for volunteers and will happily accept your help.
Harvest of the Month Tastings: Each month, the Bell School students will get the opportunity to taste a seasonal fruit or vegetable care of the Harvest of the Month program, which is sponsored by the Organic Garden. Parent volunteers are needed for one hour during the morning of the tasting (typically a Wednesday straight after drop off) to help prepare and distribute the samples to classrooms. If you’d like to help, please email Sarah Fox at email@example.com
Science Fair: Every April over 125 Bell School students prepare and demonstrate their science projects for a group of ‘Scientists’ during the Annual Bell School Science Fair. This year we are looking for several parents plan the Science Fair and add new touches. We have all the tools you need to organize the Science Fair, so that part is done and easy! If this sounds like a role for you, please contact the PTO at MalcolmBellPTO@gmail.com.
Art supplies and demonstrations: Visual Arts teacher Tammy Nohelty is always grateful for donations of the following items to be used in art classes. She’s also interested in hearing from any artists who would be keen to come into school and demonstrate their art skills to the students. Contact Tammy if you’d like to discuss this further.
