SPIRIT WEAR: To guarantee delivery before Christmas, please order your lovely new Spirit Wear by end of day, today – NOV 22 using either the paper order form (sent home) or online at: www.bellpto.org/store. Proceeds from the sale of all items will help fund activities and events for the children over the rest of the school year.
POINSETTIAS: Help support the Organic Garden by purchasing your poinsettia plants through Bell School! Available in a range of sizes and colors, they make lovely holiday decorations and gifts. Spread the word and ask your family, friends and neighbors too! Paper order forms will be coming home this week. Samples of the plants and additional order forms are available at Upper and Lower Bell reception areas. You can also order easily online at: www.bellpto.org/plants
There are two order deadlines and delivery dates: Order by NOV 28 for DEC 1 pick up, or by DEC 9 for DEC 12 pick up.
BOX TOPS: The October Box Tops drive results are in. Congratulations to Miss Sheppard’s class who brought in the most! On Monday (Nov 21) they enjoyed a pizza party as their reward. Thank you to everyone who brought in Box Tops coupons – together Bell School raised $336.20! There are collection bins at both Upper and Lower Bell reception desks, so feel free to bring in your Box Tops any time. Keep your eyes open for the next collection drive which will be coming after the New Year!
MAGIC HAT: Our next designated week is coming up after Thanksgiving – Dec 6-10. Remember though, you can volunteer anytime Tues-Fri, 10-2, outside our designated weeks and still earn credit for Bell School! Just an hour of your time earns the school $50+ to fund cultural enrichment programs.
PILGRIM STORY: Last week, 3rd graders were visited by a pilgrim from the year 1624. Her name was Constance Hopkins and she and her family came over on the Mayflower. She shared her story with the children. She spoke about her experiences of traveling over on the Mayflower, building the village in Plimoth and the friendship they had with the Native Americans who taught them about planting crops and trading. Students were also able to try on traditional Pilgrim clothing. For more information and photos of Constance’s visit, please visit our website: https://www.bellpto.org/geese/2016/11/22/pilgrim-constance-shares-her-story-with-3rd-graders/
Have a wonderful and safe holiday!
