Bell School students in all grades were treated to a special puppet show yesterday, Monday February 26, by the Tanglewood Marionettes, as part of the Cultural Enrichment program. The Tanglewood team did two shows – one for 2nd & 3rd graders (Arabian Nights) and another for Kindergarten and 1st graders (Fairy Circus). Their show is always one of the most popular of all the cultural enrichment events among the kids and teachers, so it was a treat to have them perform on the first day back to school after the February break!

The Discovery Museums’ visit last Friday (Jan 26, 2018) was a huge hit with 2nd graders. Here are some pictures of Mrs Sheppard’s class investigating the properties of solids, liquids and gasses. This visit was organised by the Cultural Enrichment Committee as part of the Cultural Enrichment program.
New England Percussion, a new program on the Cultural Enrichment calendar this year, visited all Bell School students last week on December 7. They were a big hit with kids and teachers alike – as they performed holiday songs which celebrated Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa as part of their ‘Ring in the Season’ presentation. The feedback has been extremely positive about their visit. Ask your kids what they thought.

A Boston based Jazz quartet ‘Made in the Shade’ came and performed their musical math presentation. The team demonstrated how music is made using measurement, sets, geometry, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
