It may not be warm and sunny right now – but it’s time to celebrate the arrival of summer! The Bell School Field Day is happening on Friday June 16.
The kids will get to enjoy an extra hour of outdoor activity that day with their classmates and fellow graders. The schedule will run as follows:
- Session 1, 8.45-9.45am: All of grade 2 plus Ms McGuinness’ and Mrs Spillane’s classes from K
- Session 2, 10-11am: All of grade 1 plus Mrs Berg’s class from K
- Session 3, 1.20 – 2.20pm: All of grade 3
They will enjoy plasma car racing, a wet sponge relay, an obstacle course, freeze dancing, hoop scoring and tag games. Every session will end with a refreshing popsicle break. Please send your child into school with suitable clothing and footwear that day – they’ll be running around and more than likely getting a bit wet too – so sneakers and quick drying clothing would be ideal.
Grade 3 students will also have the opportunity to get their hair ‘coloured’ with temporary color hair spray that day, as part of their session. If you would prefer your child to be excluded from this activity, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday June 14.
Finally we’d like to thank all the parent helpers who have already volunteered their time that day. Making this event happen is only possible with your input and support. We still have a few opportunities for volunteers that day if you’re able to come along and want to help out. Check out our sign up genius: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0f44acac2ba4fe3-field
If you’d rather just come along to watch the fun, then that is great too. Check the schedule above for when your child/children is due to be out playing on the Lower Bell black top!
