The Bell PTO are happy to confirm that we have sourced homework folders for all students again this year. These will be distributed via the teachers at the start of the school year – so no need to add them to your back to school supplies shopping! Inside each folder you’ll also find a welcome letter and information packet from the PTO.
Our Bell School directory is available on-line and on any device via myschoolanywhere.com. It’s free to join and means parents can easily get in contact with fellow families, room parents and teachers to arrange playdates, birthday parties and classroom events. At the start of every school year, we need families to either update their information or add it for the first time if they’re new to the school. Due to data protection rules, the school CANNOT give us this information. The PTO will be sending information with instructions on what to do to all parents via email, the kid’s backpacks and at all welcome events at the start of the new school year. In the meantime, the directory will remain open and accessible over the summer vacation to all families who were enrolled during the last school year.
Thank you so much to all the parent volunteers to gave up their time to make last Friday’s Field Day a great success! The kids had a blast and the rain held off! Special thanks to KIRSTEN BASSION, SUE WALLER and TANYA BACHELDER who all played significant roles this year – and of course to AMIE JAMES and KARA ELMER who were a great help and support to the PTO in the planning and running of the event. Thank you all!
Thank you to everyone who came along to our General Meeting last week (June 9) and helped vote in the new PTO Board members and proposed investments in technology and playground equipment for the school. Click the link below for the minutes from the meeting. Any queries please do reach out to us via firstname.lastname@example.org!
We’ll be setting the meeting calendar for the next school year shortly and will add dates to our on-line calendar.
Hello! Less than three weeks of school to go now and still lots going on at Bell. Here is your quick round up of news and updates. You can also keep up to date by regularly checking our website, especially our calendar and by following our Facebook page.
FINE ARTS NIGHT is next Thursday, June 15 from 6pm. Flyers with more information about the running order for the evening will be coming home from school this week. This year, the PTO will be running a NEW POTTERY RAFFLE (as opposed to the silent auction of previous years). Almost 20 pieces have been decorated by our wonderful Bell School staff and will be on display in reception that evening. We’ll be selling raffle tickets by the main entrance for $2/each or $10/6 tickets – so please remember to bring some CASH if you’d like to participate! You simply need to write your name and number on your tickets and then place them into the container(s) corresponding to the pottery piece or piece(s) you hope to win. Good luck!
PARENT VOLUNTEERS! Ms. Simone and Mrs Nohelty are looking for some helpers to keep things organized behind the scenes that night too. It’s a brief (about 30 minutes), fun experience and you get front row seats at the performance! You will also have plenty of time to view the art exhibits, see your child perform, visit the pottery raffle and explore the Bell Organic Garden.
